Tropassinho är en dynamisk dansgrupp som hämtar sin inspiration från passinho, en livlig brasiliansk dansstil som har sina rötter i Rios funk carioca och bokstavligt översätts med ”små steg”.

På scen

Våra framträdanden kan beskrivas som ösiga, kaxiga och glädjesprudlande med influenser från många olika moderna stilar som dancehall och vogue, men även populära brasilianska danser och förstås – samba! Vi tar publiken på en resa genom rytmer och känslor.

Tropassinho älskar animaçao!
Att liva upp dansgolvet genom att leda publiken i festglada rörelser är en tradition i den brasilianska festkulturen. Tropassinho sprider traditionen vidare! I vår animaçao mixas brasilianska rytmer för att få dansgolvet att gunga i glada, knasiga, lekfulla, flirtiga och lättföljda koreografier. Tropassinho ❤️ Brasil!

En av de första youtube-hitsen var av dansaren Beicola, där han med några polare hänger på baksidan och gör lite ”passinhos”. Klippet fick snabbt över 4 miljoner visningar. Efter det har det exploderat runt om i landet, massor med hemgjorda passinhos filmas och läggs upp på youtube.

We’re not just a dance group, we’re a movement. Our inspiration? The vibrant Brazilian dance style – passinho! A name that carries with it more than just dance – it symbolizes change, creativity and community.

What is Passinho?

Passinho is a dance style that was born out of Rio’s iconic funk carioca. The meaning of the name is simple but powerful: ”Small steps.” But we don’t just take small steps on the dance floor, we take leaps forward towards a new type of dance expression.

One of the first youtube hits was by dancer Beicola, where he with a few friends hangs on the backyard and does some ”passinhos”. The clip quickly received over 4 million views. After that, it has exploded around the country, lots of homemade passinhos are filmed and posted on youtube.
