Vi är en dansgrupp med inspiration från brasilianska dansstilen passinho! Passinho härstammar från Rios funk carioca och betyder ”små steg”. Vi är i dagsläget 15 kvinnor i åldrarna 27-50. Vi har funnits sedan 2015.
Vad är passinho?
– En dansstil som har blommat ur funk carioca. Passinho betyder små steg, och riktar sig bort från den putaria* som på senare år präglat den brasilianska baile funken.
Dansstilen är en potpurri av olika danser som funk, freestyle, samba och frevo. Den fartfylld, energisk och trixig!

En av de första youtube-hitsen var av dansaren Beicola, där han med några polare hänger på baksidan och gör lite ”passinhos”. Klippet fick snabbt över 4 miljoner visningar. Efter det har det exploderat runt om i landet, massor med hemgjorda passinhos filmas och läggs upp på youtube.

We are a dance group inspired by the Brazilian dance style passinho! Passinho originates from Rio’s funk carioca and means ”small steps”. We are currently 15 women, aged 27-50.
What is passinho?
– A dance style that has blossomed out of funk carioca. Passinho means small steps, and moves away from the putaria * which in recent years characterized the Brazilian baile funk. The dance style is a potpourri of various dances such as funk, freestyle, samba and frevo. It’s fast-paced, energetic and tricky!
One of the first youtube hits was by dancer Beicola, where he with a few friends hangs on the backyard and does some ”passinhos”. The clip quickly received over 4 million views. After that, it has exploded around the country, lots of homemade passinhos are filmed and posted on youtube.
